In a display hardly any political media pundit would have predicted, more than 100 Democrats have sided with Republicans in rejecting an attempt to impeach President Donald Trump over Operation Midnight Hammer.
Yet another attempt by Texas Democrat Al Green to impeach Trump has fallen flat on its face after 128 Democrats joined the GOP in defeating his bill, which came shortly after the success of Operation Midnight Hammer — the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities that posed a significant threat to world peace, but particularly to Western civilization, Just The News reported. Green’s failed effort — one of many he’s attempted against the president — sought to impeach Trump over his decision to move ahead with the operation despite it lacking Congressional approval (though sources who spoke to Million Voices suggest this was done in order to ensure there were no intel leaks that could have significantly hindered the operation and America’s national security). The impeachment vote failed 344-79, with no Republicans voting for the effort.
Impeachment Resolution
“In his conduct of the office of President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, abused the powers of the presidency when he disregarded the doctrine of separation of powers by usurping Congress’s power to declare war and ordered the United States military to bomb another country without the constitutionally mandated congressional authorization or notice to Congress — cognizant of the fact that should another country’s military bomb a facility within the United States of America, it would be a de facto declaration of war against the United States of America,” the impeachment resolution reads, the Hill reported, but only 79 members of Congress agreed with Green’s statements.
Hegseth Statements On Operation Midnight Hammer
Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth and Gen. Dan Caine said Thursday that the U.S. attacks on the nuclear facilities were highly destructive. You can watch the full briefing below:
“Let me be clear and be as clear as possible: The strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities were clearly within President Trump’s Article II powers as Commander in Chief,” Speaker Mike Johnson said of the impeachment attempt. “It shouldn’t even be in dispute.” (MORE NEWS: Gavin Newsom Branded With ‘A Viciously Anti-Christian Agenda for America’)
“President Trump was able to quickly accomplish what no other President has been able to achieve – thanks to his ‘peace through strength’ leadership, Iran’s nuclear program has been obliterated and a ceasefire has been agreed to. Eliminating the prospect of nuclear war is a non-partisan and unifying accomplishment that everyone should celebrate as a historic moment for United States, the Middle East, and the entire world,” White House assistant press secretary Taylor Rogers said in a statement to The Hill.

Keep Acting Local
Politicians you elect in your city, county, and state usually have a greater impact on your daily life than anyone in the federal government. During “off-years,” these local races send ripple effects throughout American communities. It is up to you to shape them.
It seems like every time we at Million Voices speak to lawmakers and their teams, they all tell us the same thing: if just 10 people in their district write letters about issues that matter to them, elected officials know they have a serious crisis on their hands. A thousand people could message that same lawmaker via email or social media, and it would mean nothing. But hand-written, or even printed and signed letters, will make your politicians take action (if they really care about your vote, that is).
Contacting your representatives should be easy, but there are myriad ways they can ignore your calls to action. That’s where we come in.
Yes, Million Voices helps you with voter guides. Yes, we send letters from YOU directly to your elected officials because it’s the only way to guarantee they’ll listen to you. Yes, we publish data, articles, text messages, and help bridge the gap between education and civic action. But what do you want? Tell us today.
We want to make YOU the hero of our American story by giving you the tools you need to make a difference, from your local, state, all the way up to the federal level.
Join us in our mission to advocate for religious freedom, support fair and secure elections, and uphold the values that this great nation was built upon. Tell us what you want from the next four years, and we will fight to make it a reality … again!
