16 States Stop Biden-Harris Illegal Immigrant Amnesty

America First Legal announced Thursday (Nov. 7) they had won a lawsuit stopping the Biden-Harris administration’s “illegal attempt to grant amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants.”

AFL represented Attorney General Ken Paxton, partnering with the State of Texas and Idaho, and a coalition of 14 other state Attorneys General (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wyoming), to sue the Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Homeland Security and block its executive amnesty scheme, AFL wrote in a statement.

“Since day one, the Biden-Harris Administration has dedicated itself to the decimation of our immigration system and the erasure of our borders. Time and again, the States stood up. And today, the great State of Texas and the courageous Ken Paxton, alongside a coalition of other brave Attorneys General, succeeded in stopping an illegal program that would have provided amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens and paved the path for the largest administrative amnesty in American history. The Final Judgment

United States District Judge J. Campbell Barker declared that the defendants lacked the statutory authority to grant parole “in place” to illegal immigrants. Specifically, the law applies to illegal immigrants who are married to or are the stepchildren of U.S. citizens but failed to get the required visas and permits to remain in the country legally, according to Fox.

The program was initially developed by the Biden-Harris administration as the “Keeping Families Together” act, despite the fact there are plenty of pathways to do this legally that are available to everyone.  (READ: Trump’s Promises To America: How To Hold Him Accountable)
