An analysis written by Robb Brunansky of the Washington Stand outlined how “abortion cannot just be a political issue” for Christians, and we couldn’t agree more.

The pro-life movement has come a long way since former President Ronald Reagan declared the third Sunday in January to be the National Sanctity of Human Life Day, some 40 years ago, Brunansky writes. Thanks to the advent of new technologies, we can see our unborn children as they grow in the womb. Films and other investigations have shown the truth of what happens in abortion clinics, and the evil of those who murder children and sometimes even their mothers.

‘Highly Charged Political Environment’

“We live in a highly charged political environment, and many Christians view abortion as more of a political issue than a theological and spiritual issue. This perspective often leads to prioritizing political solutions even at the expense of theological truth and spiritual power,” Brunansky continued.

As Christians, we need to stop conflating Life with issues like the border crisis, immigration, and healthcare. ” This conflation of issues has led to confusion about abortion and the necessity to oppose it for its inherent evil,” Brunansky noted.
