Arnold Schwarzenegger Call For Reform Over ‘Stupid’ Immigration System, Border Crisis

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger told hosts of “The View,” Monday, that he believes America needs a strong border and a smart immigration system.

“First of all, I believe very strongly in having a border that no one can get through,” the “Terminator” told the hosts. “That’s number one for me.” Schwarzenegger is an immigrant himself, having gone through the legal process of becoming an American many years ago.

“Number two, what is important is that we have visas available for people that want to work in the United States so they don’t have to work illegally,” he continued.

Echoing Bill Clinton?

The immigration process proposed by Schwarzenegger essentially exists already. The process of getting a work visa for the U.S. may be time consuming — and significantly more complicated and expensive under the Biden Administration — but there is a process.

“We need the workers here,” Schwarzenegger argued. “We should give them the visas so they can do it legally … It is a stupid system. The system is set up to commit a crime.” (RELATED: More Than 800,000 Illegal Border Crossers Released Into U.S. Without Any Recourse By Biden Administration)

His comments echo those of former President Bill Clinton, who wanted to sound like he was coming out against Biden’s border policies. But in reality, he proposed something much worse.

“They come here,” Clinton said of the border crisis on WABC, “and we’re supposed to shelter people who can’t get work permits for six months. We need to change that,” he insisted. “They ought to work. They need to begin working, paying taxes, and paying their way.” He went on to argue: the “chaos” of Biden’s lack of policies has handed Republicans a significant advantage in the polls. “[T]he Democrats lost enough seats in New York because of reaction to the crime problem here” and the sense that “my party didn’t have a commonsense approach to [the deluge of migrants].”
