Crowned with Glory: Recognizing Our Worth Through God’s Eyes
It is incredible and humbling to think that God, the Creator of everything seen and unseen, regards us with infinite love. This is echoed in Psalm 8:4-5, reflecting on human worth in the eyes of God: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.” Despite our flaws and imperfections, God’s love is unwavering. He sees us through the lens of His unconditional grace, affirming that we are worthy of His affection.
This divine perspective is beautifully illustrated in the life and teachings of Jesus. Through His ministry, Jesus demonstrated the depth of God’s love by reaching out to the downtrodden, healing the sick, and offering forgiveness to those who felt unworthy. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” The cross stands as a powerful symbol of how far Jesus was willing to go to express His love and grace toward us. Our value is not diminished by our imperfections but magnified by His redemption.
