Delaware

In 2020, voters in Delaware will elect one member to the U.S. Senate and one candidate to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives from the state’s one at-large congressional district. Three state executive offices are up for election, including: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Insurance Commissioner. In addition, voters will be selecting candidates for the Delaware State Senate and Delaware State House of Representatives. **The Delaware presidential primary election has been moved to June 2, due to the COVID-19 situation.

Important dates to remember: 

  • (NEW DATE) June 2, 2020: Presidential Primary 
      • May 9: Voter registration deadline
  • September 15, 2020: State Primary Election
      • August 22: Voter registration deadline 
  • November 3, 2020: General Election
    • October 3: Voter registration deadline 

Delaware does not currently allow online voter registration.  An eligible voter can register to vote by mail, by phone, or in person.  To register to vote by mail, fill out and sign a voter registration application and mail it to the voter registrar in your county of residence. Your vote is valuable to the state and makes a difference!
