In 2020, Maine voters will elect two candidates to serve the U.S. House of Representatives from each of the state’s two congressional districts.  In addition, voters will also be selecting candidates for the Maine State Senate and the Maine State House of Representatives. Maine held their presidential primary election March 3rd.  

 

Important dates to remember: 

 

 

  • June 9, 2020: Primary Election

 

    • May 18: Voter registration deadline
  • November 3, 2020: General Election
    • October 16: Voter registration deadline

 

Maine does not permit online voter registration.  There is no cut-off date for registering to vote in person at the town office or city hall. If voting by mail or through a voter registration drive, fill out a voter registration application, print it, sign it and mail it to the voter registrar in the county of residence.  For information about early voting, check out: https://www.maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/voter-info/earlyvoting.html .
