In 2020, voters in Maryland will elect eight candidates to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and hold a special election to fill the seat representing Maryland’s 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House.  Two Maryland Court of Appeals Justices and five Maryland Court of Special Appeals Justices are up for retention election.  **Maryland’s presidential primary election has been moved to June 2, due to the COVID-19 situation.

Important dates to remember: 

  • April 28, 2020: Congressional District 7 Special Election
      • April 7: Voter registration deadline
  • (NEW DATE) June 2, 2020: Presidential Primary Election
      • May 12: Voter registration deadline
      • May 21 – 28: Early voting
  • November 3, 2020: General Election
    • October 13: Voter registration deadline
    • October 22 – 29: Early voting

Online voter registration is permitted in Maryland. Voters can also submit a paper registration form in person or by mail to the voter registrar in your county of residence. Your vote is valuable to the state and makes a difference!
