In 2020, voters will elect one candidate to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives from the state’s one at-large congressional district. Voters will be selecting candidates for the North Dakota State Senate, North Dakota State House of Representatives, seven state executive offices, including: governor, lieutenant governor, treasurer, state auditor, commissioner of insurance, public service commissioner, superintendent of public instruction. One Supreme Court seat will be up for a nonpartisan election in 2020.
Important dates to remember:
- June 9, 2020: State Primary Election
- May 25 – June 8: Early voting
- November 3, 2020: General Election
- October 19 – November 2: Early voting
North Dakota does not require voter registration. Therefore, an eligible voter may vote in an election if the voter provides acceptable identification. Your vote is valuable to the state and makes a difference!
