Gas Prices Rose 50% Under Biden-Harris White House

The U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics reported in August that the cost of gasoline has risen 50% since Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden entered the White House.

Along with hiking prices more than 50% throughout their time in power, the Biden-Harris administration oversaw the highest prices ever recorded for gas, according to data from AAA, shared by Breitbart. On June 19, 2022, the price of Diesel reached an all-time high of $5.816. Five days earlier, gasoline hit record highs of $5.016.

Who Is To Blame?

“No. I don’t think the public is blaming Democrats. I think they’re blaming oil companies,” Democratic California Rep. Nancy Pelosi said of rising gas prices when asked about the role of Democratic lawmakers in the cost. “They will blame all of us if we don’t do something about the fossil fuel industry.” Breitbart argued that Democrats consistently point to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and oil and gas companies for the soaring costs.

“It also cannot be ignored that Harris is all-in on Green New Deal policies, which include phasing out fossil fuels,” Breitbart noted. “In light of these grim realities, it remains unclear where the “joy” — which Democrats touted at their convention — can be found for American consumers.”
