Global Response To Israel-Iran As Pope Leo XIV Pleads For ‘Dialogue For The Common Good’

World leaders are calling for peace in the Middle East while supporting Israel’s right to defend itself against ongoing calls for total annihilation.

A majority of the world appears to agree that Iran cannot have access to or possess nuclear weapons, and are therefore accepting of Israel’s decision to destroy all Iranian facilities where nuclear programs were in process, according to LBC News. Israel launched a series of strikes on Friday evening aimed at destroying these programs, especially as there are extreme concerns that Iran already possesses an atomic weapon, possibly multiple. Despites decades of being told not to enrich uranium and pursue a nuclear program, Iran did it anyway.

Leaders from Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.S. and members of the European Union, have called for Israel’s right to defend itself as Iran launches a series of attacks — not against Israel’s own weapons programs — but against civilians.

Pope Leo XIV’s Statement

“No one should ever threaten another’s existence,” Pope Leo XIV said of the situation a day after the strikes began. “In these days, news continues to arrive that causes great concern. The situation in Iran and Israel has seriously deteriorated, and at such a delicate moment, I wish to strongly renew an appeal to responsibility and reason.”

He reiterated the need for the “commitment to building a safer world, free from the nuclear threat,” and that “must be pursued through respectful encounters and sincere dialogue, in order to build a lasting peace founded on justice, fraternity, and the common good.” (RELATED: ‘D-Day’s Legacy Lives On As Modern Political Battles Unfold’: Wallbuilders Talk To John Graves)

“It is the duty of all countries to support the cause of peace by initiating paths of reconciliation and promoting solutions that guarantee security and dignity for all,” he concluded.

Iran’s Ongoing Attacks

Iran “rained down missiles” on Israel throughout the weekend, with at least 24 people killed and hundreds injured across Tel Aviv and Haifa. One missile fell near the U.S. consulate in Tel Aviv, causing minor damage, according to a post of US Ambassador Mike Huckabee.

Iran has cowed to continue its attacks against Israel. In response, Israel struck at least 10 command centers in Tehran run by the Iranian Quds Force, part of the Revolutionary Guard. “We clearly see that our civilians are being targeted,” Israeli police spokesperson Dean Elsdunne said of the situation. “And this is just one scene. We have other sites like this near the coast, in the south,” he continued as he stood outside a bombed-out building.

Be Careful Of Bad Reporting

There are concerns that the situation will escalate beyond the two nation states and turn into an all-out world war, joining ongoing conflicts such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Most news outlets are also ignoring the fact that there are known terror networks present and operating across Iran, all of which have a combined purpose of destroying those of us who refuse to bow to the creation of a fundamentalist Islamic caliphate.

“Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, one of the key priorities of the Iranian regime has been exporting its revolution abroad. Designated a sponsor of terror by the U.S. government in 1984, Iran is considered the ‘foremost state sponsor of terrorism,’ providing ‘a range of support, including financial, training, and equipment, to [terrorist] groups around the world – particularly Hezbollah,’ according to the U.S. State Department,” the American Jewish Committee wrote on their website. The BBC appeared to be one of the only outlets trying to point out the U.S. as a core contributor to the situation. “Israel’s formidable and sophisticated military forces – with an arsenal largely, but not exclusively, provided by the United States – are enabling it to overpower a much larger enemy,” the outlet wrote. As the BBC receives huge amounts of money from the Chinese Communist Party to conduct their reportage, we highly recommend choosing alternative outlets to receive your news.
