Harris Tries To Blame Trump For Afghanistan Failure

The Harris-Walz campaign attempted to blame former President Donald Trump for the deadly, botched Afghanistan withdrawal in August 2021, CBS News reports.

The Democratic campaign claimed that Trump didn’t leave President Joe Biden — who has served his entire career in politics — and his Vice President Kamala Harris with “zero plans for an orderly withdrawal.” The campaign called the lack of information a “dangerous, costly mess,” but seemingly failed to address the fact that Biden and Harris had every power in the world to do things differently.

“Trump shamelessly attacks the vice president because he hopes he can trick the country into forgetting that his own actions put troops in harm’s way,” the Harris campaign claimed. “Trump wanted to bring the Taliban to Camp David just days before September 11th—think about that. Harris Shameless Rewriting History

The comments from Harris-Walz’ campaign comes within days of the families of those killed by the Biden-Harris botched Afghanistan withdrawal called out the VP for her lack of grace. (LEARN MORE: State Finds County Violated Election Law In 2022)

Families of Gold Star service members invited Trump to attend a small service where flowers were placed on the graves of Staff Sgt. Taylor Hoover, Sgt. Nicole Gee, and Staff Sgt. Ryan Knauss in Arlington, according to The Post Millennial. Harris, who was not invited to attend the service, took to social media to attack Trump for attending and spending time with the families, as he was asked to do. Harris had not contacted the families in any capacity, despite claiming a large role in the failed mission.
