Resting in the Peace of God’s Plan

Life is full of uncertainties and moments that cause us to feel anxious and unsure of the future. The endless worries and doubts that stir in our minds do not help us find peace in our daily lives. They threaten to steal our peace and rob our God-given joy. In these moments, it is important to still reach for God despite the fear in our hearts. God holds every minute of every day. Any challenge set before us has already been overcome by His great love.

Resting our minds and easing our worries can be a difficult task. But graciously, God has gifted us the power to develop the mind of Christ, who was not consumed by worry or anxiety. There is hope that we can combat anxious thoughts with truth, just as Jesus did. There will always be challenges and hard things, but there is peace in truly believing in the reality of who you are in Christ and trusting God in every circumstance.

Your Call to Action

Today, give your mind a rest. Live in the joy that you are loved with the everlasting love of an almighty God. Uncertainty and anxiety will constantly try to steal your peace, but God is always with you, bringing peace through His presence.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” (Deuteronomy 31:8).

“For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen” (Romans 11:36).

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it” (Psalm 139:1-6).

Prayer

Lord, we thank You for Your great love for us. Please grant us peace of mind and calm our hearts as we go throughout our day today. Give us the strength to endure and the clarity to see Your hand at work in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
