‘Testament’ Trailer Will Send Chills Down Your Spine

Angel Studios dropped a new trailer for their upcoming series “Testament” Friday, and it’ll send chills down your spine.

Some of you may be thinking, “‘Testament?’ Haven’t I already seen this?” No. You may have seen the original film, but the new series from Angel Studios brings a whole new approach to telling the acts of the Apostles, according to an email shared with Million Voices. “Like the original film, Testament has been incredibly well received by the Angel Guild,” President of Angel [Studios] Jordan Harmon, said in a statement. “Our hope is that this series, which vividly reimagines the Book of Acts, will captivate audiences in an entirely fresh way.”

What Is The Story About?

The series stars Eben Figueiredo as Saul, Charlie Beaven as Stephen, Mogali Masuku as Mary of Magdala, Tom Simper as Peter, Stuart Scudamore as Gamaliel, and Yasmin Paige as Mara, the email noted. (RELATED NEWS: Great American Revival: ‘The King Of Kings’ Explodes At Box Office)

“We’ve seen stories about the early Church before, but never quite like this,” says Paul Syrstad, who also serves as the director. “Testament captures the spiritual and human struggle of Acts — but in a time that feels just close enough to our own to unsettle you, all whilst staying true to the Biblical account. It’s raw, emotional, and ultimately hopeful.”

When Will The Series Be Released?

“The Book of Acts explosively reimagined in an alternate-modern era. A resurrection sparks a movement that turns the world upside down, spreading hope amid chaos.
