Trump Is Not Running In 2028, Despite Corporate Media Hysteria

President Donald Trump shut down all speculation that he’ll be seeking a third term in 2028 during a Saturday interview with “Meet The Press’s” Kristen Welker.
“I will say this, so many people want me to do it. I’ve never had requests so strong as that, but it’s something that, to the best of my knowledge, you’re not allowed to do,” Trump explained during the interview, according to The Post Millennial.
“I don’t know if that’s constitutional that they’re not allowing you to do it, but there are many people selling the 2028 hat. But this is not something I’m looking to do. I’m looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, to carry it forward. I think we’re going to have four years, and I think four years is plenty of time to do something really spectacular.”
Constitutional Amendment
Welker noted that Trump could theoretically push through a constitutional amendment that would allow him to hold a third term in office. Trump said that the only reason people are pushing him to run for a third term is “because they like the job I’m doing, and it’s a compliment.” (MORE NEWS: John Graves Tells Florida’s Voice How MV Engaged Millions Of Voters For Major Election)
At no point has anyone present the President with any practical plan to run for a third term. People have just brought it up “in the capacity of being a big supporter.” Trump is absolutely “not looking at” the idea of even thinking about running for a third term.
Can The MAGA Movement Survive Without Trump’s Leadership?
The short answer is “yes,” as the political “Make America Great Again” movement has fundamentally reshaped American culture and the entire identity of the Republican party, inspiring countless elected officials to follow the MAGA platform.
“I think it’s so strong. I think we have tremendous people, and I think we have a tremendous group of people,” Trump said of those who could potentially step in to run the party in 2028. “You look at [Secretary of State] Marco Rubio, you look at [Vice President] JD Vance, who is fantastic. I could name ten, fifteen, twenty people now just sitting here. I think we have a tremendous party.” (RELATED NEWS: TREND ALERT: Young Americans Are Going Red And Refusing To Look Back)
“I also see tremendous unity. But certainly, you’d say that somebody’s the VP—if that person is outstanding, I guess that person would have the advantage. But I think the other people would all stay in unbelievably high positions. But it could be that he’d be challenged by somebody. We have a lot of good people in this party,” when asked if Vance was the natural next leader for the Republican Party.

Keep Acting Local
Politicians you elect in your city, county, and state usually have a greater impact on your daily life than anyone in the federal government. During “off-years,” these local races send ripple effects throughout American communities. It is up to you to shape them.
It seems like every time we at Million Voices speak to lawmakers and their teams, they all tell us the same thing: if just 10 people in their district write letters about issues that matter to them, elected officials know they have a serious crisis on their hands. A thousand people could message that same lawmaker via email or social media, and it would mean nothing. But hand-written, or even printed and signed letters, will make your politicians take action (if they really care about your vote, that is).
Contacting your representatives should be easy, but there are myriad ways they can ignore your calls to action. That’s where we come in.
Yes, Million Voices helps you with voter guides. Yes, we send letters from YOU directly to your elected officials because it’s the only way to guarantee they’ll listen to you. Yes, we publish data, articles, text messages, and help bridge the gap between education and civic action. But what do you want? Tell us today.
We want to make YOU the hero of our American story by giving you the tools you need to make a difference, from your local, state, all the way up to the federal level.
Join us in our mission to advocate for religious freedom, support fair and secure elections, and uphold the values that this great nation was built upon. Tell us what you want from the next four years, and we will fight to make it a reality … again!
