U.S. Reacts To Hunter Biden’s Guilty Verdict

First son Hunter Biden was found guilty Tuesday of a series of gun and drug-related crimes, just five months before his father, President Joe Biden, tries to seek a second term in the White House.

The younger Biden was found guilty of (Christian Post):

• Making a false statement in connection with the acquisition of a firearm
• Making a false statement with respect to information required to be kept in records
• Possession of a firearm despite his status of “a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance

The jury in Wilmington, Delaware, found Biden guilty of these crimes, many of which date back to before his father’s first bid for presidential office in 2020. He is also under the microscope in relation to a series of other potential crimes involving influence peddling, and payment to prostitutes to cross state lines, the Christian Post noted. How Are People Reacting?

Journalist Geraldo Rivera said that “the evidence against the president’s son was overwhelming.” However, Rivera seemed hopeful that Biden would be able to make his way through the case with the support and compassion of the public. This was far from the case. “He’s now facing substantial jail time, up to 25 years,” Rivera noted.

“The biggest crimes of the Biden Crime Family remain untouched.” Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said following the verdict. “Hunter Biden just became the Deep State’s sacrificial lamb to show that Justice is ‘balanced’ while the other crimes remain ignored,” she added. “Just like the Trump trial, it was a sham, but a sham for a different reason. It’s a sham designed to legitimize the Trump conviction; that’s why it came right after, even for charges that date way far back,” said one-time presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. “But it also avoids accountability for the Biden crime family on the actual things that Hunter Biden should have been charged for.”
