US Perceptions Split On Trump, Kamala. Where Do You Fall?
A poll conducted in August 2024 found that most Americans find that Vice President Kamala Harris lacks sincerity in her campaign and message to the voting public as we head into the November elections.
The Economist/YouGov poll found that 53% of Americans within the 1,554 sampled, think Harris is “placating the public and merely telling folks what they want to hear,” according to Breitbart. A mere 35% of respondents said they think Harris believes what she says, while a further 12% were unsure.
Some 54% of registered voters feel that Harris is “is disingenuous in her message and is merely appeasing voters. Another 39 percent think she is sincere in her comments, and seven percent are not sure if she is genuine or not,” the outlet continued, suggesting that Harris is not quite polling the way her campaign seems to show in corporate news media coverage. One in five independents says Harris believes what she says, but 56% think otherwise. (LEARN MORE: Former Democrat Makes Enormous Endorsement)
Trump Comes In Harsh Contrast
“The contrast between perceptions of Harris and Americans’ outlook on former President Donald Trump in this poll is stark, with 51 percent of all Americans saying he believes what he says. In comparison, 39 percent are of the opinion he says what he thinks will please voters,” Breitbart continued. “Among registered voters, 53 percent see Trump as sincere, while 41 percent think he is working to appease the public.”
The biggest differences come from the cohort of Independent voters across America. While many likely planned to support Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign for the presidential election, he has since endorsed Trump. There are rumors Kennedy Jr. will join Trump’s cabinet should he win reelection.
And with 48% of voters thinking Trump is genuine in his message, it sounds like Independent voters are shifting to the right. (LEARN MORE: Kamala Harris Misleads Voters On Trump)
Strong v. Weak
The same Economist/YouGov poll also found that most voters think Harris is a far weaker leader than Trump, with 56% supporting the former president. “A majority of 51 percent of U.S. adults view her as a “weak” leader, including a plurality of 38 percent who see her as “very weak,” Breitbart wrote in their analysis.
There are over 30 million born-again evangelicals who do not vote, even for the president of the United States.
Our heart is to change that.
The #1 reason most people don’t vote is they think their voice doesn’t matter.
America, your voice matters! 🗣
