Faith-Based Movie ‘The Hill’ Hits #1 On Netflix

Faith-based film “The Hill” hit the #1 spot on Netflix in late January, and won the “Best Family Feature Film” at the Family Film and TV Awards, CBN reported.

“The Hill” tells the story of Rickey Hill, a baseball player with a degenerative spine disease who overcomes all obstacles to play Major League Baseball. The movie stars Dennis Quaid as Paster James  Hill, the protagonist’s father and a Baptist minister.

Quaid had quite the 2023. He released a Christian music album, which shot to the top spots on the charts. He also opened up about his battles with addiction, and how Christ saved him from himself.

‘The Joy Of Being Alive’

“We’re all looking for the joy of life, and drugs give that to you and alcohol and whatever it is for anybody give that to you really quick. Then they’re fun and then they’re fun with problems, and then they’re just problems after a while. That’s really what we’re looking for, the joy of life, which is our gift, actually, the relationship with God that we all have. It’s at the bottom of it, the joy of being alive.”

Actor Colin Ford plays Ricky in the hit movie, and recently accepted the “Best Family Feature Film” on behalf of the whole production. “I’m shocked and honored to accept the award for Best Family Feature Film on behalf of ‘The Hill.’ To be amongst such great other films is a blessing.
