2,000 Baptized At California Beach

Roughly 2,000 people were baptized Saturday at the 2024 Harvest Crusade at Pirates Cove Beach in Corona Del Mar, California.

The ceremony was organized by Harvest Pastor Greg Laurie, according to the Christian Post. This is Laurie’s second annual Jesus Revolution Baptism at the beach, which is overseen by nearly 70 pastors and countless other church leaders.

Some 6,500 people have been baptized at Pirates Cove Beach in the last year. Laurie believes this “may be the indicative of a coming move of God that will sweep our land.” (LEARN MORE: Christians Called To Shine ‘Light’ On ‘Dark Institutions’)

Spiritual Awakening

“It is worth noting that all of this has happened in Southern California. This is where the last great spiritual awakening, known as the Jesus Revolution, happened before,” Laurie added. “As a matter of fact, Pirate’s Cove Beach was the exact location of the mass baptisms that took place over 50 years ago during that movement.” He’s talking about the 1970s revival movement, as depicted in the movie of Laurie’s journey to Christ “Jesus Revolution.”
