Arkansas Declares June Fidelity Month

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has officially declared June 2026 as Fidelity Month. The proclamation, signed on May 27, calls on Arkansans to renew their commitment to God, family, community, and country. It is a clear and deliberate counterpoint to Pride Month, and a bold statement about where Arkansas stands.
“Here in Arkansas, June is Fidelity Month: fidelity to family, fidelity to country, fidelity to God,” Sanders told The Daily Wire. The declaration draws directly from America’s founding documents. It points to timeless values that have shaped this nation since its beginning.

This is not just a symbolic gesture. It is a declaration of identity, one that faith communities, families, and patriots across Arkansas have reason to stand behind.
What the Proclamation Actually Says
The official declaration cites George Washington’s belief that “virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government.” It argues that fidelity to God, family, and country leads to human flourishing. It also calls these commitments the foundation of a healthy, stable, and well-ordered society.
Sanders’ proclamation states that Arkansas’ “commitment to spiritual and civic institutions is at the core of the State’s collective identity.” The document frames June as a time for reflection and renewal. Residents are encouraged to return to the principles found in the nation’s founding documents.
The language is deliberate and grounded. It does not shy away from faith. It speaks directly to the values millions of Americans hold dear, and that too often go unrecognized in the public square.
Arkansas Joins a Growing Trend Among Red States
Arkansas is not alone in this move. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee declared June “Nuclear Family Month,” celebrating the traditional family as “one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children.” Red states across the country are choosing to define June on their own terms.
This shift did not happen in a vacuum. Pride Month celebrations were far less visible in 2025, following President Donald Trump’s first year back in office. Trump made clear there would be no national Pride designation from the White House. Corporate sponsors began pulling away from LGBTQ events, a sharp reversal from the open support shown during the Biden years.
Arkansas has never formally recognized Pride Month. But this year’s Fidelity Month proclamation goes further than silence. It is an affirmative, public declaration of what the state does believe in.
Sanders Has Been Here Before
Governor Sanders has consistently pushed back against what she calls radical gender ideology. Under her leadership, Arkansas has become one of the most active states in the country when it comes to protecting traditional values through policy.
Sanders served as President Trump’s press secretary before becoming governor. She brought that same direct, unapologetic communication style to the Arkansas Governor’s Office. Her Fidelity Month declaration reflects that approach, clear, confident, and rooted in conviction.
The proclamation is not just about opposing something. It is about affirming something better. Faith, patriotism, and family are not relics of the past. They are the pillars of a flourishing society, and Sanders is putting that belief on the record.
For believers, this kind of proclamation carries real weight. Government acknowledgment of God, virtue, and the traditional family is rare, and worth celebrating. It signals that elected leaders can still speak the language of faith without apology.
George Washington warned that a republic cannot survive without virtue. Sanders is echoing that warning and acting on it. June in Arkansas is now an invitation to reflect on what truly holds communities together.
A Bold Stand on Arkansas Values
The Arkansas Fidelity Month proclamation is more than a press release. It is a policy statement, a cultural declaration, and a call to action all at once. It tells families across the state that their values are seen, respected, and worth celebrating.
As other states follow Tennessee and Arkansas in reclaiming June, the message grows louder. The cultural momentum that once seemed unstoppable is shifting. States are choosing a different path, one grounded in faith, liberty, and commitment to something greater than self.
Arkansas has spoken. June 2026 is Fidelity Month. And for those who believe that God, family, and country are worth defending, that is very good news.
