Angel Studios Greenlights Two Seasons Of Post-Apocalyptic Thriller ‘Homestead’

Angel Studios (now going simply by “Angel”) greenlit the final episodes of “Homestead” season one, while gearing up production for season two.

The post-apocalyptic drama series will follow the success of the 2024 movie of the same name, according to a press release received by Million Voices. This spin-off series will star Bailey Chase (Longmire), Charles Esten (Nashville), Dawn Oliveri (1883), Jill Wagner (Lioness), and Jesse Hutch (Freddy vs. Jason). “Homestead has captivated audiences worldwide with its bold and uplifting vision of the post-apocalyptic genre,” said Jordan Harmon, President of Angel. “The stellar cast, fueled by the unwavering support of our Angel Guild, has not only has allowed us to greenlight the completion of Season 1 but also secured an early greenlight for Season 2, ensuring fans can dive back into the story sooner than ever.”

What To Expect From Season 2

The second season of the show will follow each of your favorite residents of the Homestead as they “navigate new threats, internal conflicts, and the ongoing struggle to rebuild in a fractured world.”

The series will be directed by Ben Smallbone and produced by Ben Kasica and Andrea Royer. “The remaining Season 1 & 2 takes us deeper into the aftermath, as the Homestead transforms from a survivalist stronghold into the fragile heart of a new civilization – where rising hope collides with the threat of war, and the choice to lead could cost everything,” Kasica said of the upcoming stories. “We’re thrilled to bring Homestead back for another season,” Smallbone added. ““The story’s heart lies in its characters and their journey to find hope amidst chaos. When Should You Expect To See ‘Homestead’

Aside from the show and films already available via the Angel app, you can expect to see the rest of the episodes before the end of 2025. Production is slated to start over the summer, with tentative release dates set for late 2025, exclusively on the Angel studios app.
