The U.S. Army is trying to bring back service members fired during the COVID-19 pandemic who refused the COVID-19 vaccine.

A letter sent to “Former Service Member[s]” and shared on social media outlined how the Army is now waiving its mandated COVID-19 vaccine and would like to enable former service members to return to their positions, Breitbart reported.

“Individuals who desire to apply to return to service should contact their local Army, US Army Reserve (USAR), or Army National Guard (ARNG) recruiter for more information. Individuals may locate an Army recruiter by visiting https://www.goarmy.com, a USAR recruiter by visiting https://www.goarmyreserve.com, or an ARNG recruiter by visiting https://nationalguard.com/get-started .”

Biden Administration’s Lost Faith

The actual number of troops we lost during the pandemic to the mandate is unknown but estimated to be well above 8,000. Tens of thousands of National Guard members were either fired, sidelined, lost their drill time, or weren’t paid. Many also decided not to reenlist.

A letter is going out to soldiers that says, “Former soldiers who were involuntarily separated for refusal to receive the COVID-19 vaccination may request a correction of their military records.”

Why doesn’t the Army ask me if I want my resignation converted into a retirement dated with the release date of this new policy, and along with it offer compensation for the command I was wrongly relieved of, compensation for the remainder of whatever my career might have been, and then offer me my adjusted pension from this month forward? Then offer the same to all others similarly wronged.

DoD can’t fix itself. It’s run by officers whose loyalty is in question, and they’re in turned [sic] led by Cabinet & Administration level officials whose loyalty is assuredly un-American,” one former service member wrote on X.
