As Surely as the Sun Rises
“Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth” (Hosea 6:3)
Even on the cloudiest day, the sun always rises. We may not be able to see it behind the stormy skies, but every single morning, it is there. This symbolizes how God is always with us through every storm of life. We may not feel Him at every moment, but He is continuously present. We can experience His abiding peace and the warmth of His loving arms by reaching out to Him in prayer and reading His Word.
Sometimes it takes a storm to strip away our reliance on things other than Him. Remember that He hears and answers every prayer—on HIS timetable. Lay your burdens at His feet and seek His will. It may not always be the answer we want to hear, but His plan is perfect for us in whatever season of life we are going through. The most significant storms provide a platform for God’s light to shine and for Him to show up BIG!

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Prayer: Father God, we are so thankful for Your goodness to us! Help us to remember that our circumstances are temporary, but like the sun, Your mercy is eternal and new every morning! Help us to rely on You and nothing else for peace and comfort in our lives. We love You, Lord! In Your name, we pray, Amen!
Final Thought: Cast all your cares upon the One who set the sun into position! His light always shines through the darkness!
