U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday that President Joe Biden will visit Israel, on Wednesday, following the terror attack from the Hamas group, which has already claimed thousands of lives.

“On Wednesday, President Biden will visit Israel. He’s coming here at a critical moment for Israel,” Blinken announced. The purpose of Biden’s visit is to reaffirm the U.S. relationship with Israel, learn of the nation’s needs as it defends itself from invasion, and to send a message to aggressors that if they mess with Israel, they will face penalties, according to Breitbart.

Biden Snubs Netanyahu?

Biden apparently snubbed an invite to Israel from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but these reports were rebuked by the White House, Breitbart noted. “If the United States experienced what Israel has experienced, our response would be swift, decisive, and overwhelming,” Biden said on October 10. Blinken also visited Israel, and apparently had to hide during an attack. “Blinken came to Israel last week to offer U.S. support in the wake of a devastating terror attack by the Palestinian terror group Hamas on Oct. 7, which killed 1,400 Israelis and wounded over 4,100,” the outlet reported. “He also toured several Arab capitals in the region to urge opposition to terror and to discuss humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians.”

It’s unclear whether Biden’s visit will prompt him to help those who remain on the ground in-country. He previously told American citizens trapped in Israel and Gaza to find their own way home.
