Choosing Jesus: The Pathway to Everlasting Peace
Our well-being is too important to leave to chance or wishful thinking. Alignment with God’s will is essential. We must actively lean into Him, and embrace His ways. Eternity is too precious to risk living on the edge between sin and righteousness. In every aspect of our lives, choosing Jesus is imperative. “Choose this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15).
Following God’s path is not always easy or convenient, but living for Him is worthwhile. The temporary satisfaction of the world pales in comparison to the redemption found in Christ. His sacrifice on the cross, where He bore our sins, brings healing and gives us an eternal peace that worldly pleasures cannot offer. This peace, deeply rooted in God’s Word is available to everyone who accepts Him. He is “the way, the truth, and the life!” (John 14:6).

“But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
“For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you” (Isaiah 54:10).
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
Prayer
Our Heavenly Father, thank You for all You do for us! Praise Your holy name! We choose You and love You. We know accepting you into our hearts is the most important thing we will ever do. Guide us and direct us, Lord. Help us to step into Your will for us and seek You first always. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!
A Comforting Closure
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
