Navigating the Narrow Road: Cultivating Faith in a World of Distractions
The path to eternal life is available to everyone who walks down it. Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8).
The natural human inclination is to take the wide, easy road instead of the narrow path that leads to God. Jesus tells us the gate to God’s Kingdom is narrow, and few people find it (Matthew 7:13-14). Culture tries to cancel the narrow path and the people who follow it. But as believers, we must block out worldly noise and distractions that keep us from God’s will. God desires that we seek Him first and align ourselves with Him in all we do. He gives us the roadmap for a successful, righteous life in His written word. His plan—His way is perfect.
Salvation is not reserved for an elite club of people. Jesus died on the cross to save each and every one of us—from every walk of life, no matter how far away from God we were in the past. Look to him for guidance, and He will light your way home.
