Democratic Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth told CNN, Sunday (Nov. 24) that Congress should be focusing on more important issues than the right of men who think they’re women to use women’s bathroom in the Capitol.
Duckworth’s comments came days after Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that biological men are no longer allowed to use women’s bathrooms in the U.S. Capitol, according to the Daily Caller. “Yeah, I think that we need to make sure that people are people. Frankly, you know, I think that we have so much other to worry about,” Duckworth told CNN. “We have budget deficits, we have crises all around the world, we have a humanitarian crisis going on in Gaza. We have Ukraine — Russia is making headway there. It’s an illegitimate fight invasion of Ukraine.”
The decision was made after Republican South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace introduced a resolution on the issue on Monday (Nov. 18). (RELATED: Christians Must Be ‘Major Influencers’ In US Politics)
“We have issues here in this country, and yet she’s worried about one member of Congress using the bathroom. Number one, I think her position is disgusting and wrong. But I also think that we have a lot more to worry about than where somebody goes to pee,” she added.
Not Just A Congressional Issue?
On Tuesday (Nov. 19) Megyn Kelly shared a graphic on her social media, alleging a series of heinous incidents involving so-called transgender men in women’s spaces. The purpose of the post was to show how dangerous and detrimental allowing men in women’s bathrooms and other spaces can be to actual biological women and girls.
