Florida Takes a Stand Against CAIR and Terrorism

This week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis took a bold stand for the security and values of our nation.

Announcing, effective immediately, that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is now officially designated as a terrorist organization, he made it crystal clear that leadership matters.

Following Texas’s Courageous Lead

This decisive action follows the courageous precedent set by Texas just weeks earlier, where state leaders refused to bow to fear and publicly declared CAIR’s dangerous influence, directly accusing the organization of advancing jihad.

Governor DeSantis drew a clear line in the sand, signaling to all Americans that our elected leaders still possess the courage to call evil by its name. In times like these, silence is not an option.

This is not empty rhetoric—this is courageous action. These are the strong, decisive steps America’s leaders must take to defend our families, our churches, and our freedoms from those who would undermine our way of life.

CAIR’s Sharp Reaction

Predictably, CAIR reacted with outrage, rejecting any criticism and labeling the Florida and Texas actions as “political stunts designed to stoke bias and punish those who criticize Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.”

Instead of acknowledging the grave concerns, CAIR doubled down, seeking to silence the voices of those who stand for truth and moral clarity. Their attacks are not just political—they are a direct challenge to every American who cares about the protection of our nation’s foundational values and freedoms.

In a press release, Mustafaa Carroll, a leading CAIR figure, fired back at this designation, declaring:

“The governor is attempting to punish the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization simply because he disagrees with its protected First Amendment rights to criticize a foreign state that is conducting genocide…”

A Troubling Track Record

While CAIR claims it was founded in 1994 “to promote justice” and “protect civil rights,” the reality behind its rise is deeply troubling. This organization has become the self-proclaimed largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy operation in America, using its platform not to advance American freedoms, but to push an agenda that, time and again, collides with our Constitution and Christian heritage.

With a record that includes being named an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror-financing case in U.S. history, and with well-documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, CAIR’s track record is cause for serious concern.

American Christians and patriots, be vigilant. Do not be deceived by smooth words or public relations campaigns; discern the fruit and the motivations behind the movement. Now is not the time for complacency.

Rejection of Incompatible Laws

In recent days, courageous Americans have risen, sounding the alarm about the escalating rise of Islam and the dangers it poses to our nationher culture, her laws, and her very identity.

This isn’t speculation; concerns are validated by reporting, official statements, and the actions of our leaders who refuse to bow to political correctness.

The rise of CAIR and similar organizations is not only a cultural challenge; it is a legal one. Our Constitution is clear: ‘Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.’ But the actions of organizations like CAIR, supported by politicians and the media, seek to undermine this fundamental principle and impose their own set of incompatible laws upon us.

At its core, Islam is not just another religion; it is also a political ideology with its own set of laws, known as Shariah. These laws are in direct conflict with our democratic principles and often lead to human rights abuses, especially towards women and non-Muslims.
We cannot allow the spread of Shariah or the influence of organizations like CAIR to erode our freedoms and way of life.

Preserving the Land of the Land

America’s Constitution guarantees religious freedom, but we cannot ignore threats to our nation’s very foundation. Sharia Law is not just another religious practice—it stands in direct opposition to the laws and values established by our Founders. Embracing ideologies incompatible with the Constitution undermines the freedoms that make America a beacon of liberty.

We must also confront the very real and present danger of jihad. This so-called “holy war” is the declared agenda of radical groups, and it is not an abstract threat. The reality is well-documented in recent reports and made clear by the bold actions of leaders in states like Florida and Texas.

Believers in Jesus, this moment calls for action. Don’t accept narratives that erode our liberty or endanger innocent lives. Stand firm, speak truth, and pray fervently for God’s protection over our land.

Now is the time to expose double standards. As some demand “separation of church and state,” many remain silent as ideologies hostile to our constitutional freedoms gain ground. Patriots and believers must rise, defend the foundations of this nation, and ensure America remains a beacon of freedom.
