Focus on the Fruits! JOY
“God will let you laugh again; you’ll raise the roof with shouts of joy” (Job 8:20).
Jesus was the perfect model of joy in His life and ministry. In fact, the angels announced His birth as “good news of great joy that will be for all the people” (Luke 2:10). We can experience great joy in our risen Savior by giving our lives completely over to Him. Even when our circumstances are challenging, we can have joy in our relationship with God. If we accept His gift of salvation, we will receive the fullness of His unspeakable joy!
We are called not only to live joyful lives, but to share that joy with others. “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice” (Philippians 4:4); “Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19). We are not all called to work in ministry, but as part of the body of Christ, we can share our love for Jesus and make a positive impact on people in our circle of influence.

Joy is found in endurance! – “Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
Joy is found in the God of our salvation! – “Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!” (Habakkuk 3:17-18).
Joy is found in the Holy Spirit! – “The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
Joy is found in Christ’s love! – “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” (John 15:9-11).
