Just As Mark And Paul Found Reconciliation, So Too Will Trump And Elon

I’ve been in prayer all day as tensions rise in the dispute between President Trump and Elon Musk. This moment weighs heavily on me—not just because of what is happening now, but because it echoes the decades of frustration I’ve felt since the days of Ross Perot. The ever-increasing national debt is not just an economic issue; it is biblical bondage, and it threatens the future of our country.

I clearly see both sides of this moment. For years, I’ve worked to awaken the Church—to engage the culture and influence it for good. At the same time, I see how incredibly difficult it remains, even now, for President Trump to pass meaningful reform. The “Big Beautiful Bill” passed the House by a 215–214 vote—a one-vote margin. That alone reveals how fiercely change is resisted, even when the need is urgent.

So, where do we go from here?

We begin with prayer, seeking God’s direction for this hour. And we move toward reconciliation, even in the face of sharp disagreement. Just as Paul and Mark had their dispute, they also found reconciliation. So must we.

We must remember that the world was created in chaos, and Satan thrives in chaos, death, destruction, and deception. But God brings order. We are made in His image, and He has commissioned us to bring order into chaos. That is what we must proclaim and pray over this situation.

This is not about choosing one side over another. It’s about acknowledging that both perspectives bring something important to the table. President Trump is pressing for necessary, practical reforms. Elon Musk, meanwhile, is right to sound the alarm about unsustainable debt. Both concerns are valid and urgent. Debt is bondage in the short term and national destruction in the long term.

So, my prayer—and my call to everyone who follows us—is this:

Let this be a wake-up call. Let it shake the Senate and Congress to their core. Let them rise up with the clarity and urgency that President Trump had in 2012, before he ever took office. Let them reject the comfort of the status quo, even when change is difficult. Whether you call it the deep state or entrenched dysfunction, it must be confronted and reversed.

Courageous leadership requires difficult decisions. But if those decisions are made boldly and wisely, the American people will follow—because they’re beginning to see what’s really at stake

As followers of Christ, we are called to pray without ceasing, to stand as peacemakers, and to seek wisdom beyond our own understanding. Let us lift up every leader, every citizen, and every voice in this nation, asking God for clarity, courage, and conviction. May unity—not division—prevail, and may God’s purposes for America be fulfilled in this critical hour.

Together, let’s move forward in faith, trusting that He who holds all things together will guide us through these challenges toward a future of hope and restoration.
