Never Give Up: Advancing God’s Kingdom One Step at a Time
In Nehemiah 4:6, the people of God worked with enthusiasm to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, completing half the task because they were driven by a heart to do God’s work. The word enthusiasm comes from En Theos, meaning “In God” or “With God.” Their efforts weren’t just physical labor; God empowered them. They knew their work wasn’t in vain, as they were partnering with God in something much greater than themselves. In the same way, we are called to keep moving forward in our efforts, especially in elections. Even when we don’t win every battle, we can celebrate the progress we’ve made—just like the people of Nehemiah, who built halfway to their goal. Each step forward is part of God’s bigger plan, and we must remain faithful, knowing that He is with us.
This persistence is also reflected in the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18. Though she faced setbacks, the widow didn’t give up, even when an unjust judge repeatedly ignored her pleas. Her determination ultimately led to justice being served, showing us the power of relentless faith and persistence. Through prayer, action, and generosity, we can continue to press forward, knowing that each effort contributes to a greater cause.
We’re building something lasting––every prayer, every action, and every donation is part of advancing God’s kingdom. Give, Act, Pray—as we remain faithful, we trust that progress is always being made. God ultimately determines the victory, and even when the journey feels long or the victories seem small, each step is part of His perfect plan, and our labor is never in vain.
Your Call to Action
As we continue to advance God’s kingdom, every effort counts—whether it’s through prayer, action, or giving. We are called to be persistent, just as the people in Nehemiah worked with enthusiasm to rebuild the walls, and the persistent widow never gave up in her pursuit of justice. Today, your voice and your actions can make a difference in the fight for faith, freedom, and integrity. Join us in creating a lasting impact by supporting our efforts through volunteering, donating, or prayer. Together, we can continue building, step by step, toward victory in God’s perfect timing. Let’s remain faithful, knowing that every act of obedience advances His kingdom.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).
“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that our labor in You is never in vain. We ask for Your strength and guidance as we continue to serve You with enthusiasm and persistence. Help us to remain steadfast in the work You’ve called us to, trusting that You are with us every step of the way. Even when we face setbacks, remind us of Your faithfulness and the progress we are making for Your kingdom. Give us the perseverance to never give up, knowing that You are working through us to accomplish Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A Comforting Closure
May we continue to build with unwavering faith, knowing that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in us.
