Ramaswamy’s Top Aide Joins Trump Campaign

2024 Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s top aide, Brian Swensen, resigned from his position in November to join former President Donald Trump’s 2024 reelection campaign.
Ramaswamy’s communications director Tricia McLaughlin told reporters that their campaign “loves Brian” and that choosing to join the Trump campaign “is a good move for him,” OANN reported in late November. Swensen was Ramaswamy’s national political director, a role now handled by senior adviser Mike Biundo.
“He was primarily based in New Hampshire, and about a month and a half ago Mike Biundo came on as a national senior adviser and has largely been absorbing Brian’s role, so this is not — does not come as a surprise to anyone,” she noted.

It’s unclear what Swensen’s new role will be for the former president. His move signals big things for the coming year, which will be defined by yet another significant presidential election season.
