"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope" (Romans 15:13).
“Know the importance of the season you’re in, and a wise son you will be” (Proverbs 10:5).
When going through challenging life seasons, it’s tempting to set our sights away from the difficulties of the here and now, looking ahead to “what’s next?” We can take for granted things to be gained in our current season, questioning, “Why, God, is this taking so long?” But God isn’t slow to move. Rather, He sees the greater picture of our lives and focuses on what He is teaching us in this moment of growth.
Seeds of patience are humbling and lend to godly insight. What we sow now can help us glorify God while growing into the people He wants us to be. God generously gives us the wisdom to seize each day and take advantage of the time we have been given. “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity” (Ephesians 5:15-16). When we ask God for discernment through our struggles, He helps us to have good, sound judgment to uncover His purpose for us and His many blessings. God is so good!
Call to Action: Focus this week on resting in His presence, even through difficulties. As God meets you where you are, ask for spiritual discernment and a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit in your life.
“The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake” (2 Peter 3:9).
“Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).
“How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, ‘If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that’” (James 4:14-15).
Prayer: Father God, we come before You today, praising You for Your goodness. Fill our atmosphere with Your glorious Presence! Renew our hearts, bodies, and minds to focus on the present time and the work you’re doing in us. Help us be grateful for the growth and opportunities of this season. In Your precious name, we pray, Amen!
Final Thought: Seize the opportunity God gives you today, accepting His gift of salvation and a blessed, abundant life in Christ!
