God’s heart is to give us a life of profound significance and purpose. This is echoed in John 10:10, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” We become stronger and unshaken by circumstances when He is at the center of our existence. Yet, we have a tendency to replace God with things and people, leaving us feeling isolated and unfulfilled, causing us to miss the abundant blessings He has for us. The women searching for Jesus in the tomb is a powerful example of His living presence in our lives. They sought Jesus, presuming His death, only to find the tomb empty and a risen Savior! Their experience and the resulting courage led them to share the truth of the LIVING Jesus with others. We live under the false pretense that Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection were things of the past, but He is ALIVE and His plan of salvation gives us the strength to triumph over life’s challenges. Recognizing Jesus as a living entity transforms our thoughts, emotions, and our spirits. When we embrace the living Christ, we truly begin to live.
