President-elect Donald Trump has wasted no time in starting his Cabinet nominations and various appointments across his incoming administration. We know it can be exhausting (and really boring) to keep up-to-date on all these people, so here’s a succinct list of Trump’s appointees thus far …

Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

“Our broken Healthcare System harms everyday Americans, and crushes our Country’s budget,” Trump said of Dr. Oz. “Dr. Oz will be a leader in incentivizing Disease Prevention, so we get the best results in the World for every dollar we spend on Healthcare in our Great Country,” adding that the doctor “will also cut waste and fraud within our Country’s most expensive Government Agency, which is a third of our Nation’s healthcare spend, and a quarter of our entire National Budget.”

Linda McMahon, Secretary of Education

Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) executive Linda McMahon may be best known to many for her prolific career in entertainment. But did you know that McMahon’s original dream was to become a teacher? This was before she and her husband founded the greatest wrestling empire in modern history. She also served on the Connecticut Board of Education in 2009. She was elected as administrator of the Small Business Administration under the first Trump administration, before heading up the American First Action political action committee.

“As secretary of Education, Linda will fight tirelessly to expand ‘Choice’ to every State in America, and empower parents to make the best Education decisions for their families,” Trump said of McMahon. “Linda will use her decades of Leadership experience, and deep understanding of both Education and Business, to empower the next Generation of American Students and Workers, and make America Number One in Education in the World.”

Howard Lutnick, Commerce Secretary

Lutnick may not have the name recognition of Oz and McMahon, but his career is just as prolific. “He will lead our Tariff and Trade agenda, with additional direct responsibility for the Office of the United States Trade Representative,” Trump said of Lutnick’s nomination. “In his role as Co-Chair of the Trump-Vance Transition Team, Howard has created the most sophisticated process and system to assist us in creating the greatest Administration America has ever seen.”

Pam Bondi, Attorney General

Bondi’s lengthy career as a pro-Christian rights, pro-America politician are best exemplified in her state of Florida. After a long career in fighting for the rights and freedoms of Floridians, Bondi led the legal arm of the America First Policy Institute.

Brooke Rollins, Secretary of Agriculture

Rollins would be the second woman to lead the USDA, which could lead to revolutions in the way food is processed before being forced upon Americans. We’re watching this space incredibly closely, as food is one of the greatest crises facing all of us.

John Ratcliffe, CIA director

Ratcliffe was Trump’s director of national intelligence in the final months of his previous presidency. He’s consistently come out against China and the ongoing threat from their blatant cold war-style invasion of U.S. soil. “The intelligence is clear: Beijing intends to dominate the U.S. and the rest of the planet economically, militarily and technologically,” he wrote in 2020. “Many of China’s major public initiatives and prominent companies offer only a layer of camouflage to the activities of the Chinese Communist Party.”

Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Department of Government Efficiency

Musk and Ramaswamy running a governmental department focused on mitigating waste? The plan for the office is reportedly expected by 2026, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens here!

Peter Hegseth, Secretary of Defense

Fox News host and veteran, Hegseth would oversee the largest federal agency. He’d manage the $850 million annual budget, along with around 3 million service members and personnel.

Doug Burgum, Secretary of Interior

What does Burgum know about managing the nation’s public lands and waterways? Let’s hope a lot, since we need our natural landscape in order to survive the stupidity of our cities. Thankfully, it appears that Burgum will have to work alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who we believe will go above and beyond to protect American nature while ensuring energy independence.

America is one of the wealthiest and unhealthiest countries in the world. This is because our healthcare system is broken and our food is filled with things that humans should never eat. There is absolutely no reason this should be the case, so let’s hope RFK Jr. sticks to his campaign promises of Making America Healthy Again.

Chris Wright, Secretary of Energy

CEO of Liberty Energy in Denver, Colorado, Wright is a huge advocate of American energy independence. His stance on oil and gas is strong. Since the economy is collapsing and we have few goods to give the rest of the world, it is hoped that Wright’s role will help lower costs for consumers while not sacrificing our natural landscape in that pursuit.

Kristi Noem, Department of Homeland Security

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is a household name and will now potentially lead Trump’s “mass deportation effort” of illegal immigrants across the nation, the Independent appeared to suggest. Noem was the state’s first ever female governor, winning reelection in 2022.

Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence

Former Democrat and Congresswoman for Hawaii, Gabbard left her party in 2022 to join the Republicans. She served 17 years in the Hawaii National Guard, deploying to Iraq.

Analysis by Kay Hill for Million Voices

Trust in all governmental institutions is at an all-time low. The American people believe in our great nation, but we’ve long fallen out of love with our leaders. Trump’s appointments — and his entire professional network throughout his campaign for the presidency — is a huge step toward rebuilding that trust.

Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see how things play out for the Trump administration. If he’s able to execute on all of his campaign promises, we’re in for a bright future, America! Let’s hope the actions taken in recent weeks by the Biden administration, particularly as they relate to the war with Russia and the economy, don’t stifle the progress promised by these appointments.

We just had an election where a lot of people lost their jobs, and a lot of new people are coming in to work for you, the American people. These elected officials don’t get to start their job until January 20th, 2025, so what do we do with this time until then?

Yes, Million Voices helps you with voter guides. Yes, we send letters directly to your elected officials because it’s the only way to guarantee they’ll listen to you. And you are united in your heroism like never before!

Our goal is to move through this political transition from the Biden administration to the incoming Trump administration by educating you on the key issues you can take action on outside of election season.
