Urgent Call to Awaken America

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).

Despite its freedom and opportunities, America is not exempt from a history of distorted thinking. Slavery, the mistreatment of Native Americans, the passage of Roe v. Wade, and the removal of prayer from our schools all serve as glaring examples of warped thinking that brought our country out of alignment with God at times. This deformed thought process can, and has, torn down individuals and entire nations throughout history.

Modern American society has also displayed destructive thinking when offering unrestricted access to abortions, allowing child gender modification, spreading sexual immorality, and fostering rampant drug usage and deaths via a wide-open southern border.

The United States has historically accomplished MANY good things, but we are reminded that the results are devastating when we remove God from the equation.

Change starts with each of us as individuals. We are accountable to God and to future generations. The legacy we leave matters. Our thoughts, actions, how we raise our kids, and even how we vote are vital to the future of this great country.

Proverbs 12:5 says, “The thoughts of the righteous are just; the counsel of the wicked is deceitful.” Even if the government, our favorite politician, musician, athlete, or even a church says something is ok, that doesn’t mean it is. Learning to discern things through a biblical lens and leaning into God for guidance is essential to spiritual prosperity.

Your Call to Action

We must put our trust in God and be disciplined and unswayed by the temptations of the world. If we obey His commands, we align with His will. We have an amazing country and vast opportunity for spiritual growth, reaching many people for Christ. The time is now to awaken America.

“Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy” (Ephesians 4:23-24).

“The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:6).

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things” (Philippians 4:8).

Prayer

Our Heavenly Father, we praise Your holy name! Thank You for giving us this great country. Help us to be good stewards of the blessings You have given us. Create in us a desire for change, helping us elect Christian leaders who will stand up for biblical principles. Bring about opportunities for us to go into the fields ripe for harvest to win people for Jesus. In Your name, we pray, Amen!

A Comforting Closure The more people on fire for Jesus, living a life aligned with Christ, the greater our influence will be in making positive change in our nation.
