‘Wonder Years’ Actress Found Christ

“Wonder Years” actress Danica McKellar told Christian Headlines that her newfound faith has changed her life in so many positive ways, and that “Christianity is not” what she thought it was.

“It was Palm Sunday of 2022. And it was a Passion Play. And it just hit me like a wave. It was immediate. It was, like, the Holy Spirit just flooded me,” McKellar told the outlet of how she found her faith. She was attending the service with fellow actress Candace Cameron Bure, and had no idea just how much the experience would change her life. Until that point, McKellar was somewhat resistant to faith. She’d been led to believe Christianity was used to champion evil throughout history. “That was really my kind of awareness of Christianity before,” she noted.

The Power Of God’s Love

“It’s about your relationship with God, you get to have a personal relationship with God. And that was like such a revelation,” McKellar continued, explaining how she no longer lets the historical manipulation of Christianity blur her perspective on Jesus. “Those aren’t authentic Christians. And so just realizing that — it just opened the whole thing up. And Candace has been wonderful. After we watched the play, I was like, ‘This is what I’ve been looking for my whole life and didn’t realize it.’ … And it’s been wonderful. It’s been a wonderful gift. And she’s on track for another hit with her upcoming movie “A Royal Date For Christmas” with the Great American Family.
