Christians Convicted For Abortion Clinic Protest

Four Christians who protested outside an abortion clinic in the Nashville area in 2021 were convicted Tuesday of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

Eva Edl, Eva Zastrow, James Zastrow, and Paul Place were found guilty by a federal judge for protesting outside of the Carafem Health Center Clinic in March of 2021. The defendants now await sentencing, which could see them receive up to six months in prison, five years of supervised release, and be fined up to $10,000. The defendants were amongst seven others during their protest in 2021, where they prayed and sang hymns while urging women entering the facility to not undergo the abortion procedure. All 11 individuals were charged in 2022 for allegedly intimidating and interfering “with employees of the clinic and a patient who was seeking reproductive health services,” the Washington Stand reported.

Right To Peaceful Protest

The defendants maintain that they were exercising their right to peaceful protest — something the Biden administration has somewhat changed the definition of, given the abject violence of the George Floyd riots in 2020 that were said to be “mostly peaceful” while our cities burned.

Middle District of Tennessee Magistrate Judge Chip Frensly only deliberated on the case for a little under 30 minutes before finding the four individuals guilty. (LEARN MORE: ‘The Chosen’ Reveals Hidden Secrets Within The Show)

“This is a communist state, just so you understand,” Trump said recently of the persecution of the pro-life protesters. “This is the beginning of a communist state, whether it’s [my indictments] or any one of another thousand things that are going on,” he continued. “This is the only way they’re going to be able to stay in office because they’re running a regime that is so incompetent. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it.”
