House Fails To Impeach Mayorkas
U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas narrowly escaped impeachment by the House of Representatives on Tuesday night, after a 214 – 216 vote.
The vote came down along party lines, with all Democrats and four Republicans voting “no” on impeaching Mayorkas over the humanitarian crisis along America’s borders, according to the Christian Post. Mayorkas will now remain in the position, and likely continue his current trajectory of not bothering to stop the human, drug, and child trafficking currently normalized between the U.S. and Mexico.
“Mayorkas’s willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law has had calamitous consequences for the Nation and the people of the United States,” the resolution against Mayorkas stated. “Mayorkas willfully and systemically refused to comply with the immigration laws, failed to control the border to the detriment of national security, compromised public safety, and violated the rule of law and separation of powers in the Constitution, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.” (LEARN MORE: Explosive Device Discovered At Border As Senator Issues Serious Warning)
Millions Of Illegal Immigrants Disappear In America
“Under Secretary Mayorkas’ watch, CBP has reported more than 8.5 million encounters at our borders, including more than 7 million apprehensions at the Southwest border,” Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said of the situation. “Even more terrifying is the approximate 1.8 million known getaways, that Border Patrol agents detect, but are unable to apprehend. Millions of those inadmissible aliens who are encountered are eventually released into our communities.”
She went on to accuse Mayorkas of willful and systematic refusal to comply with the laws of our nation, therefore breaching public trust in his ability to do his job. (LEARN MORE: Conservatives Warn Of Terror Vulnerability From U.S. Open Border)
Why Won’t Biden Protect The Border?
More than 10 million illegal immigrants have walked over our open borders since Mayorkas directed guards to let them in, in early 2021. If you want your local, state, and federal government to do something about the border crisis it’s time to use your voice.
