Kamala Harris Calls To Restore Roe v. Wade

Vice President Kamala Harris said Monday that she wants to restore reproductive freedom for Americans, and by that she specifically means to restore Roe v. Wade, Politico reported.

“I am being precise. We need to put into law the protections of Roe v. Wade,” the Harris campaign told Politico. “And that is about going back to where we were before the Dobbs decision.” If she wins the presidential nomination to the Democratic party and subsequently wins the presidential election in November, Harris could protect abortion until around the 22nd week of pregnancy. “I don’t think there’s a real debate about whether we want to go beyond Roe,” said CEO of Reproductive Freedom for All Mini Timmaraju. “The debate is what can get done and how quickly it can get done.”

Kamala’s Statements On Abortion

“We, who believe in reproductive freedom, will stop Donald Trump’s extreme abortion bans because we trust women to make decisions about their own bodies and not have their government telling them what to do,” Harris said at a Massachusetts event on Saturday. “If there are those who dare to take the freedom to make such a fundamental decision for an individual, which is about one’s own body, what other freedoms could be on the table for the taking?”
