Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has reportedly turned against the Border Bill currently making its way through the Senate.
Lawmakers are set to vote on the border bill on Wednesday, but McConnell has turned against it, Breitbart reported. McConnell cited the huge number of Senate Republicans planning to vote against the bill as his reason for not backing it. And Republicans want more time to decide whether the language in the bill is the best move forward in this humanitarian crisis.
McConnell worked closely with Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on the bill. “I have never worked more closely with Leader McConnell on any piece of legislation as we did on this,” Schumer said Sunday. (LEARN MORE: Conservatives Warn Of Terror Vulnerability From U.S. Open Border)
