Meta Accused Of Pro-Dem Censorship, Manipulation In Wisconsin

A report published by Wisconsin Right Now, pre-Election Day 2024, accused Meta (Facebook) of interfering with the state’s Senate election by removing content about a third-party candidate recruited by Democrats to disrupt the campaign of Republican candidate Eric Hovde.

“Facebook is blatantly – and outrageously – interfering in the close Wisconsin race for U.S. Senate by repeatedly removing a Wisconsin Right Now news story that alerts voters about an “America First” candidate on the ballot who was recruited by Democrats in a deceptive attempt to defeat Republican Eric Hovde,” WRN writers Jessica McBridge and Jim Piwowarczyk explained in their article.

Democrats Prop-Up Far-Right Candidate

“David Steinglass, a wealthy donor, has supported scores of Democrats running for office and calls himself an activist for transgender rights,” CBS wrote of the situation. “So his donation earlier this year to a far-right candidate in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race seemed wildly out of character. He gave the maximum $3,300 to help get a man on the ballot who had these items in his background: He was investigated in the plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, he is a gun rights activist and he has called for banning some gender-affirming treatments for minors.” (LEARN MORE: Media Bias Hits New Highs Ahead Of Election Day)

Facebook is accused of hiding this story pre-election — no an uncommon accusation against Big Tech platforms — helping Democrats manipulate voters. “This is Facebook engaging in election interference again. It is a well-established fact that Democrats have orchestrated a phony candidate under the America first name to confuse voters. This is hurting our democracy and Facebook is trying to unfairly interfere with an election,” Hovde said of the situation to WRN. Read the full story here.
