President Trump Contacts Family of Immigrant Murder Victim

Jul 8, 2024

The family of 12-year-old murder victim Jocelyn Nungaray told Fox that they are grateful former President Donald Trump reached out with his support prior to Thursday’s presidential debate.

“With former President Trump reaching out, my blessings to him and God bless him,” Nungaray’s grandfather, Kelvin Alvarenga told Fox 26 after Trump reached out to Nungaray’s mother. (LEARN MORE: City Voters Tell Biden They’re ‘Fed Up’ With Democrats)

Nungaray was allegedly murdered by two illegal Venezuelan nations after she was sexually assaulted in June. It’s believed Nungaray was lured to a bridge in Houston, where the two men assaulted her and then strangled her to death, Fox reported. The child’s grandmother said the murder was a consequence of “open borders.”

Not A Political Tool

Alvarenga said that he didn’t want his granddaughter to be used as a “political base,” telling reporters that he “want[s] them to know her name as well.” (LEARN MORE: Democratic City Alderman Says Open Border Caused Crime Surge)

If the suspects are found guilty, they could face the death penalty. Nungaray’s family reportedly opposes this step. “With former President Trump reaching out, my blessings to him and God bless him,” Alvarenga said. “Life without parole. That way, they can remember every night when they go to bed the horrific deal that they did to our family.”
