‘The Chosen’ S4 Lands #2 In The Box Office

Season Four of “The Chosen” hit theaters in early 2024, and it’s already in the #2 spot in the Box Office.

The first three episodes of the show raked in$6,035,823 for the weekend, which doesn’t include the more than $1.4 million it pulled during just Thursday’s preview, according to statistics shared by Box Office Pro. The show is the largest crowd-funded project for television in history. It’s been streamed more than 500 million times globally, and been watched by more than 108 million people since the first season was released.

“We have the ability to try new things, such as putting a TV show in theaters, because our fans are so passionate and supportive. Hopefully, this causes others to check out Seasons One and Two,” writer-director-creator Dallas Jenkins said prior to season four’s release.

What’s Next?

“I actually think that this is going to be the most impactful season we’ve ever done, emotionally and spiritually,” Jenkin noted. Both Jenkin and actor Jonathan Roumie (who portrays Jesus) agreed that season four was the deepest of all the seasons. And Roumie felt it was the hardest season he’s shot for the show so far.
