WATCH: Gold Star Families Slam Kamala Harris
An article published in late August detailed how Gold Star family members, who suffered the Biden-Harris botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, riled against Vice President Kamala Harris for her comments over former President Donald Trump.
Families of Gold Star service members invited the former president to attend a small service where flowers were placed on the graves of Staff Sgt. Taylor Hoover, Sgt. Nicole Gee, and Staff Sgt. Ryan Knauss in Arlington, according to The Post Millennial. Harris, who was not invited to attend the service, took to social media to attack Trump for attending and spending time with the families, as he was asked to do.
Several of those family members bit back at Harris for her comments as the Vice President had apparently not contacted any of them in regards to the situation. (DID YOU KNOW? One Party Is Registering More New Voters Than The Other)
What Did Kamala Say?
“As Vice President, I have had the privilege of visiting Arlington National Cemetery several times. It is a solemn place; a place where we come together to honor American heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of this nation. It is not a place for politics,” Harris wrote on X. “And yet, as was reported this week, Donald Trump’s team chose to film a video there, resulting in an altercation with cemetery staff. Let me be clear: the former president disrespected sacred ground, all for the sake of a political stunt.”
Unfortunately, it appears that Harris’s lengthy X post about the service — which seemed to attack the families for their actions, more than it attacked Trump — turned into a political stunt itself.

“Why won’t you return a call and explain to us how you call my daughter-in-law’s death a ‘success.'” said mother of Sergeant Nicole Gee, Christy Shamblin. “Why will you not express your condolences yourself? … And finally, why would you take a day, where we celebrated the death of our loved one, and use it to not only disparage them, but us?”
