White House Told Amazon To Delist COVID-19 Vaccine Books

A series of emails released by the  House Judiciary Committee and the Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Monday showed senior White House officials under the Biden administration asking Amazon to hide books critical of COVID-19 vaccines.

“Who can we talk to about the high levels of propaganda and misinformation and disinformation of [sic] Amazon?” former White House senior advisor Andrew Slavitt asked Amazon in March 2021. He followed up with another email that said: “If you search for ‘vaccines’ under books, I see what comes up. Amazon initially declined to intervene on the books and kept them appearing in people’s searches. But a week later, Amazon met with White House officials. On the same day, things changed.

What The Emails Reveal

An internal Amazon email sent on the same day as the company’s meeting with the White House stated “As a reminder, we did enable Do Not Promote for anti-vax books whose primary purpose is to persuade readers vaccines are unsafe or ineffective on 3/9, and will review additional handling options for these books.” (LEARN MORE: Biden Ignores Christian Massacres For 3rd Year In A Row)

There is some type of formal system between the government and major corporations that works to limit the freedoms of Americans. Former Rolling Stone journalist-turned-independent writer Matt Taibbi told Congress, “We learned Twitter, Facebook, Google, and other companies developed a formal system for taking in moderation requests from every corner of government, from the FBI, the DHS, the HHS, DOD, the Global Engagement Center at State, even the CIA.”
