President Joe Biden lost his clean sweep of the Democrat 2024 Primaries on Tuesday after voters in American Samoa chose Democrat Jason Palmer for their next leader. Like many people, you might be asking: who?

Palmer, 52, is an entrepreneur and investor with previous experience working with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, according to Breitbart. Palmer technically qualified across 16 presidential ballots in various states and territories, and won 51 of the 91 ballots available, leaving Biden with just 40, according to The Associated Press. According to results provided by the Democratic Party in American Samoa, Jason Palmer has won the American Samoa Democratic Caucus.

Who Is Jason Palmer?

“I found out that I had won because my phone started blowing up with friends and campaign staffers texting me,” Palmer said late on Tuesday, The AP said. “I have been campaigning remotely, doing Zoom town halls, talking to people, listening to them about their concerns and what matters to them.”

Palmer is a Baltimore resident that some people call “more of the 21st century than Joe Biden” to serve as president, The AP continued. He’s allegedly spent more than $500,000 on his campaign from his personal savings, telling reporters that “you can’t take the money with you when you die.
