Christian Bishop Stabbed On Live Stream
Bishop H.G. Mari Mari Emmanuel of the Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Sydney, Australia, was stabbed Monday, along with three others, during the middle of a live-streamed Assyrian service.
Footage shared online — WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT — showed the moment a man rushed the Bishop during the Monday night service and appeared to stab him several times. The congregation rushed to Bishop Emmanuel’s aid, leading to three other men reportedly being stabbed by the assailant.

The assailant is allegedly a 15-year-old boy, who was arrested following the attack. He is apparently known to the police and not a member of the church. He allegedly received injuries to his hand as a result of his attack.
Statement From The Church
Father Isaac Royel, who was also injured during the attack, asked for “prayers at this time,” in a statement shared online. “It is the bishop’s and father’s wishes that you also pray for the perpetrator. We also kindly ask anyone at the church premises to leave in peace,” the statement noted.
