Declared Presidential Candidates For 2024

May 1, 2024

Despite the media predominantly focusing on three candidates, there are actually a number of people running for the Oval Office in 2024.

It feels like most people see the 2024 presidential election as a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Though most Americans believe Biden is too old and cognitively incapable of being president, the 81-year-old launched his reelection campaign in April 2023. He says he wants to “finish the job” during his potential second term, and no one is quite sure what that means.

Biden’s personal focus as president is anyone’s guess, while his team and campaign staff seem focused on pushing for the normalization of abortion — instead of helping women in any other ways — and ignoring the border crisis and the economy. Any Other Leaders?

Aside from Trump and Biden, the most popular presidential candidate is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He’s the son of the late 1968 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy and nephew to former President John F. Kennedy.

His campaign is focused on free speech, and he’s vowed to “dismantle the censorship-industrial complex, in which Big Tech censors deplatform, shadowban, and algorithmically suppress any person or opinion the government asks them to,” according to the Christian Post. He is also vehemently against the “Covid-era suspension of the right to assembly, trial by jury, and freedom of worship,” insisting that the restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic will “never happen again.”

Who Else?

Marianne Williamson was one of the only major competitors against Biden’s Democratic nomination but suspended her campaign on Feb 7. The only other Democratic candidate who saw any kind of traction was Dean Phillips, who dropped out of the race in March and endorsed Biden. All competitors of Trump’s Republican ticket suspended their campaigns in the wake of his sweeping national victories.

Cornel West, a political activist, is running for President under the People’s Party. His platform is focused on “fighting to end poverty, mass incarceration, ending wars and ecological collapse, guaranteeing housing, health care, education and living wages for all.” He is a staunch progressive and therefore did not elaborate on how he intends to pay for all the things he’d like to do if he were to win. One assumes the bill would be passed to the American people. (LEARN MORE: Family Breakdown Connected To Collapse Of Christianity, Experts Say)
