Fears Of Israel-Lebanon Border War Are Increasing: Experts

Experts and Middle East leaders are growing concerned about a second war breaking out between Israel and Lebanon following clashes between the Israeli military and the terrorist group Hezbollah, CBN reported Wednesday.

Israel and Lebanon share a 50-mile border, and more than 115,000 Israelis have evacuated towns along the stretch of land. Hezbollah has ramped up its terrorist activities against Israel in recent weeks, assaulting the country with an anti-tank missile on Sunday, killing a 70-year-old woman and her son.

“We’re more prepared for this than ever before, even for tonight, if needed, and we’ll continue and strengthen our preparations and our readiness moving forward,” Maj. Gen. Israel Reacts With Restraint

Former IDF spokesman Jonathan Conricus said the reaction by Israel to the attacks by Hezbollah has been restrained thus far, but time is running out for a diplomatic solution to the constant threat of genocide against Israelis and Jews.

“The time really is now for any such deal to come into effect,” he asserted. “What Israel, I think, needs in order for Israeli civilians to go home to their homes is for a seven or ten-kilometer buffer zone to be created inside Lebanon, where there is simply no access for the worst Hezbollah terrorists to get close to the border.”

“We’re talking about 130,000 rockets,” he explained. “We’re talking about bigger payloads and we’re talking about much bigger range, including high-quality weapons that can strike specific locations in Israel, which Hamas does not possess, and many other weapons that Hezbollah has been provided by the Iranians.”
